the staff were pleasant and welcoming. the hotel was right by a regular market by the river in the centre of Chinon.

The single room was air conditioned, very well taken care of.

Simply no complaint, comfortable stay. Clean place & competent staff. Wonderful breakfast, absolutely perfect location in a pleasant neighborhood. Based just next door to the centre of `` Chinon '', the center of the beautiful city of Chinon and a square with plenty of parking. Excellent food at the in-house restaurant.

This amazing hotel is located right in the heart of a charming neighborhood.

Excellent location close to sight. Helpful, friendly staff, great lounge and lovely garden for relaxing. We stayed in the annex and had a lovely spacious room overlooking the gardens. Barbara, the daytime concierge, is a friendly, English and French speaking woman from Britain who is very knowledgeable about the area.

Personalized service by English speaking staff person. Comfort and cleanliness, attention to details. Friendly atmosphere. Good location.

Very friendly hotel in an old building with winding staircase and old fashioned windows. Quiet position but with just the right amount of bustling activity in the hotel. Lovely little garden and particulary good breakfast. A bar area serving local wine etc with big sofas and board games. The staff were extremely friendly and cheerful. Felt like staying in a house rather than hotel. One of the staff is English and pg tips teabags and a kettle are available in the hall!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Le Plantagenet and found the room comfortable and very clean. The staff were friendly and informative about the area and made an excellent reservation for ourself and friends at a gournet restuarant withing walking distance of the hotel. The rooms are spacious, come with air conditioning, and the breakfast is satisfying; the location is fantastic, being very central, close to a lovely square.

We booked two superior rooms and they were well worth the extra few Euros. The hotel is charming, the staff helpful, the location and setting excellent. The buffet breakfast was good value for money. Car parking in the free public car park outside the hotel was fine, although no parking on Wednesday nights due to the market on early Thursday. Recommended
